Top 5 Most Underrated Disneyland Attractions
These Disneyland attractions don’t get enough respect.
If you’re like me, you’ve ridden coasted at Disneyland (literally) hundreds of times. Sometimes it’s nice to enjoy the less frequented and less time consuming things in Disneyland. Check out my suggestions of what to do next time you’re at the parks.
1. Animation Room in Off the Page
This is my favorite place in Disneyland; I could sit in here for hours. Not only is there a loop of all the magical Disney soundtracks playing, concept art and progressions of animation from both classic and modern Disney films is projected all around you. It’s truly magical.
2. Turtle Talk With Crush
This may be cheating because this is technically in the animation room, but they’re different to me. You get to interact with the one and only Crush the sea turtle through technology I still haven’t figured out. And even if Crush isn’t your thing, the kids who get so excited talking to him will be the highlight of your day.
3. Mark Twain Steamboat
You know, that iconic boat that comes around during Fantasmic with all the characters on it? Well you can ride that all day long. This truly authentic steamboat makes you feel as if you’ve stepped back in time to the Mississippi. And for any couples out there, taking it at sunset is particularly romantic.
4. Tiki Room
In the tiki tiki tiki room, the birds come to life. It’s classic. It’s timeless. It’s OG Disney. I never miss it.
5. Monsters, Inc. – Mike and Sulley to the Rescue!
I truly think that this is the most clever ride in Disneyland. Take your time to read the decorations as you walk through the line that’s never more than 10 minutes long. I’m still waiting for my door scene roller coaster, but this ride transports you straight into the movie.
