Kobe’s a normal guy, just like us.

Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard Kobe Bryant is Orange County’s most notable resident. Bryant has lived in Orange County since 2002. Ahh, the 2002 Lakers. Kobe, Shaq, Phil. Championships. Rings. Who could forget?

When he’s not on the court at Staples Center or traveling, you might even find Kobe at your favorite restaurant or coffeehouse in Orange County.

“OMG OMG OMG! I saw Kobe at Starbucks yesterday!” said one of your friends once, maybe.

And now that Bryant has announced he is retiring from basketball at the end of this season, you might find him hanging around Orange County more than usual. We used social media to come up with a comprehensive guide as to where you might find Kobe Bryant hanging out in the OC.

Note: none of these sightings have been confirmed by Bryant’s camp. And if you do happen to see “The Black Mamba” at any of these locations, please don’t do anything stupid. We put together this map because we wanted to analyze where an NBA great likes to hang out in Orange County.

Bryant’s been allegedly spotted all over, from Farrell’s Ice Cream Parlour in Mission Viejo to Disneyland. We identified 36 points on our Google Map, embedded below.

And if the information is correct, Kobe is pretty much a normal person. He goes to the grocery store. Just like us! He goes to the bank. Just like us! He does his nails. Just like us?

The photo above was published by TMZ, where Kobe was getting his nails done at Happy Nails salon in Newport Beach. This is the same place where Kobe’s wife Vanessa has been spotted on multiple occasions.

Kobe loves hanging out in the Newport Coast Shopping Center, according to our research. The shopping plaza, located on the intersection of San Joaquin Hills Road and Newport Coast Drive in Newport Beach, is right down the street from Kobe’s residence in the exclusive Pelican Crest neighborhood. He’s shopped at the Pavilions grocery store, made transactions at the Bank of America, had lunch at Mustard Cafe, grabbed coffee at the Starbucks and picked up Mexican food at Sharky’s in the same shopping center.

As it turns out, Kobe loves Mexican food. He’s been spotted on multiple occasions at SOL Cocina, La Fogata, Javier’s and Chipotle in Newport Beach. I wonder if he’s heard about Gabbi’s in Orange or anywhere in the city of Santa Ana, for that matter?

But if Kobe was truly spotted at Burger Boy or Ho-Toy’s Chinese Food in Anaheim, he’s truly keeping it real. Ho-Toy’s has been touted as one of the best Chinese steam table  takeout restaurants in Orange County. THE PORTIONS ARE HUGE!  Burger Boy is a true Anaheim institution on State College Boulevard’s “Tile Road.” Maybe he got lost on his way to the El Torito on Ball Road? That along with Benihana is a popular postgame dinner spot for Orange County area athletes.

Of course, UC Irvine students have spotted Kobe at the ARC (Anteater Recreation Center), just like Josie L. on Yelp.
