According To OpenTable, This Is The Most Romantic Restaurant In Orange County
Surprise! This restaurant is not by the beach or on a hill.
Restaurant reservation service OpenTable just released its 2016 list of the 100 Most Romantic Restaurants in America. California has 15 winning restaurants, but only one restaurant made the list in Orange County…The Hobbit in Orange!
The restaurant is known for its French-inspired cuisine, a homey, intimate environment and a one-of-a-kind wine cellar. Don’t expect to walk in and dine, The Hobbit is reservation only.
The Hobbit only serves a seven course prix-fixe menu to its customers, which is staged like a three-act play. Act I takes place in the wine cellar of the restaurant. Act II takes place upstairs in the dining room. Diners then take a short intermission and are invited back to return to their table for Act III, the final course.
OpenTable’s list reflects the combined opinions of more than 5 million restaurant reviews submitted by verified OpenTable diners for more than 20,000 restaurants in all 50 states and DC.
Hoping to get a table at The Hobbit for Valentine’s Day? You’re out of luck. There are no reservations open for February 14, at press time.
The Hobbit Restaurant is at 2932 E. Chapman Ave in Orange
